Africa is an awe-inspiring continent with many contrasts. It is a continent with beautiful flora and fauna and history. Through the ages many traditional cultures have arisen which in their own ways have adapted to local circumstances. Africa is about the same size as America, Europe and China put together. Every corner of Africa has acquired its own art form which has developed into a unique collection during the last millennia. These last few years the interest in African art has risen through the search for the “roots” and the expansion of knowledge. Three months a year we travel through Africa to buy our exclusive collection of art from the best artists.

In 1997 we (Linda Entes and ob Ypelaan) took our first trip to Africa and almost immediately we were sold to their culture, the landscape, the people and the African art. Little souvenirs were brought back home and the search for a market was commenced. The idea to make a contribution to Africa was born and “Art of Africa” had become an item.
